I have been going to concrete hoops since I was 10 years old ... BEFORE the minimum age. Everyday that I went to Concrete Hoops I just feel like I'm at home. Everyone acts like family , even if its your first day. Now , everyone to me IS family! I have learned so much at Concrete Hoops and I hope that in the future I can use what I have learned here to teach other kids to get the same experience that I have. Concrete Hoops is not only a basketball camp , but is also somewhere where I have learned many life lessons from the coaches and I have met amazing people. Every year I look forward to another summer at concrete hoops.

Concrete Hoops was undoubtedly one of the most comprehensive and rewarding basketball programs I have attended. Under the guidance and support of the incredibly enthusiastic and caring coaches, each camper was able to develop their individual basketball skills. The partnership between Concrete Hoops and Swaziland was not only culturally enriching, it also provided an integrated environment where new friendships could flourish as various schools participated. However, my favourite aspect of Concrete Hoops by far was that I could enjoy playing the game that I loved while at the same time learning priceless life lessons. Every day the values of respect, courtesy, teamwork and self-confidence were taught and reiterated. We all learnt the importance of hard work, determination and ambition. Concrete Hoops brought something new to the table every single day as I continued to learn more about myself, my ability to be a leader and my very own personal swagger!

My first experience at Concrete Hoops was back in 2006. From the moment I walked in as a shy young hooper, I was welcomed into this enthusiastic, exciting and comfortable space. I remember leaving the camp a lot more confident in myself and basketball skills. Since a couple years ago, I've started coaching and I am able to replicate that amazing vibe that the coaches were able to bring out during my years as a camper. I always remember CH for their amazing coaches and awesome environment!

Concrete Hoops has taught me what I think are my most valuable lessons: Patience, Passion, and Dedication. Throughout the 9 year I have attended I feel as though I have become a more confident person on and off the court! Each coach has something new to bring to the table and that's what makes Concrete Hoops such a unique camp.

Other than that Concrete Hoops is a great way to meet new people and challenge yourself. It's set in an urban environment with live and enthusiastic coaches and councillors who always know how to make campers hype, I wouldn't miss it for the world!
